Actors Nick Gonzalez (Resurrection Blvd., Ugly Betty) and Yancey Arias (Kingpin, Live Free or Die Hard) hit the felt with Johnny Chan, Mike Matusow, Gus Hansen, and Shawn Sheikhan.
Mike Matusow and Shawn Sheikhan, two of the biggest egos in the game, have not played in the same tournament since their war of words at the WSOP Main Event in 2005. In that tournament, while a hand was still in play, Sheikhan folded but then revealed what he held – a slip up that cost Matusow money. And Matusow, famous for his blow-ups, went nuclear. After their heated exchange, Matusow went on make the final table, which Sheikhan missed by two places. The Mouth and the Sheik aren’t the only players with history at this table, as Johnny Chan is looking for some payback of his own against Gus Hansen. Last year, during the Poker Superstars Invitational, the “Great Dane” derailed the “Orient Express” when they went heads-up for the event’s $1 million first place prize. Gonzales and Arias, on the other hand, are close friends. But they are not going to let that get in the way with so much money and bragging rights on the table.
